Information We Collect with Kimochi Meter App
We collect information to provide a cloud-based app and extension for any Google Workspace for Education user that has authenticated himself by logging into his Google account whether on a desktop machine or a Chromebook.
Our apps collect the following School-managed account information:
As an Admin User (Administrator or Principal):
We require you to sign up for our app's account to use the Admin screen. When you do so, we will ask for personal information, like your name, email address (Goole Workspace for Education account) , telephone number. The email address will be added to the our app's server.
As a Teacher User:
You will need to be signed up for a Google account to be able to use the Teacher screen. We require a Google account (email address) in order to add your registration to the system. Our Chrome extension will then be required to be added to your Chrome browser, either on a PC, Mac or Chromebook.
Teachers (and other Admin users) can export and view student entered data wth Kimochi meter apps through the authenticated Google Drive API access.
As a Student User:
In order to enable the Kimochi meter app, students must log in to the Kimochi meter server with their current Google account (email address).
We provide a single-sign on (SSO) experience for this authentication. The Kimochi meter Chrome Extension retrieves the current signed in Google account (email address) on the Google profile by the chrome.identity API and then uses the account to sign in to the filtering server automatically on behalf of the students.
If Ddrive needs, or is required, to contact you concerning any event that involves information about you, we may do so by email, telephone, or mail.
