Ddrive K.K. ("Ddrive") respects your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information that you provide to us. This Privacy Policy explains our policies and practices regarding the use and disclosure of your personal information by Ddrive. Ddrive reviews and updates this Privacy Policy from time to time as needed without notice. Therefore, you should review the terms of this Privacy Policy periodically so that you are aware of how Ddrive collect and use personal information. By using our website and our apps, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information by Ddrive as explained below.


Please note: Our website and apps were created for adults and young students or children. We acknowledge and follow the rules of the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and so, should any child under the age of 16 provide any "personal information" to our website and apps without legally-valid parental or school consent, we will delete it as soon as possible. We also comply with other age restrictions and requirements in accordance with applicable local laws.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not access or use our Apps or Services.

  • End-Users of our Customers who interact with our Websites, Apps and Services.

Personal Information

In general, you can visit our website without providing us with any personal information. However, there are instances where we must have your personal information in order for us to grant you access to our protected and secured sites for software trial downloads. Personal information refers to information that is related to you, and may include things such as your registration data (your name, employer/school address, email address, phone number, title, etc.). When you receive your confirmation email or when you receive any email from the list server, you will be given instructions on how to remove yourself from the list. In addition to the information that we collect from you directly, we may also receive information about you from other sources, including from our current customers, third parties (resellers whom we work with), or publicly available sources.

Use of Personal Information

We intend to use such information for purposes of supporting your relationship with Ddrive by designing content that is suitable to your needs and alerting you to new product and service offerings as they become available. This personal information may be retained by Ddrive to verify compliance with the agreement between Ddrive and your employer/school, to keep track of the domains from which people visit us, to create a user profile to better serve you, or to simply contact you either electronically or otherwise. If you decide that we should not use your personal information to contact you, please let us know and we will not use that information for such purpose. Ddrive websites and apps, to administer our websites and apps, and to enhance our websites and apps for optimal user experience; to monitor the usage and performance of our websites and apps, and to determine aggregate information about our users and usage pattern; to identify you when you access and use our services; to facilitate transactions and process payments; to provide maintenance, support, and customer service for our websites and apps; to conduct research and analysis; and to fulfill other legitimate purposes permitted by applicable law. Lastly, we do not use any advertising Cookies or place advertisements in our websites and apps.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Ddrive will not share personal information for marketing, advertising or product/service offering purposes to any third parties. If Ddrive sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transfer of assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or business transfer, we may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of that transaction. We disclose personal information if: we have your consent; we need to share it in order to provide you with the products and/or services you requested; we respond to a court order or in order to comply with the law.

Public Forum and Messaging

Ddrive may offer public discussion forums and social media feeds. Please note that information that you disclose in these public forums becomes public. Please use caution in disclosing any personal information. The site may also allow you to exchange messages with other users. We may store these messages in order to deliver them and allow you to manage them.

Accuracy and Security

The accuracy and security of the personal information is important to Ddrive. If you contact us to correct your personal information, we will attempt to correct such inaccuracies in a timely manner. Ddrive is concerned with the security of your personal information and is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorized access and use of that personal information. To that end, we put in place the appropriate policies and procedures to secure your personal information. While there is no such thing as “perfect security” on the Internet, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of your personal information.

Access and Choice

Ddrive has implemented the following procedures that you may use to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or choose how your information is used:

  • If you would like correct any inaccurate personal information that Ddrive maintains from users of the site, please email us at: support@ddrive.ai.

  • You may also have a right, in accordance with applicable laws, to access, update, and in some cases requests deletion of the personal information that we hold about you. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request. We will comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and in accordance with applicable laws. We may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes, as required under applicable legal obligations, or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting such change or access.

  • Some web browsers and devices permit you to broadcast a preference that you not be “tracked” online. Ddrive does not modify your experience based upon whether such a signal is broadcast.

Retention of Personal Information

Ddrive retains your personal information for so long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services or to fulfill our contractual obligations; as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; and for so long as is necessary for the purposes for which we collected such personal information.

International Operations

Ddrive is based, and this site is hosted, in Japan. If you are from a country outside of Japan with laws governing data collection, use, and disclosure that may differ from Japanese. law and you provide personal information to Ddrive, please note that any personal information that you provide to us may be transferred to Japan. By providing your personal information, you hereby specifically and expressly consent to such transfer and processing and the collection, use, and disclosure set forth herein or in any terms and conditions related to the use of and access to the site. Where we transfer your personal information from the EEA to recipients located outside the EEA who are not in a jurisdiction that has been formally designated by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection to receive personal information, we do so on the basis of standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

Ddrive uses "cookies". The use of cookies is an industry standard, and you'll find cookies at most major websites. A cookie is a small data file that a website can transfer to a visitor's hard drive to keep records of the visits to such site. A cookie contains information, such as your User Information, that helps us recognize the pages you have visited and improve future visits, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is the information that you provide yourself. A cookie cannot read data off of your hard drive or read cookie files created by other sites. If you prefer not to accept a cookie, you can set your Web browser to refuse all cookies or to warn you before accepting a cookie. You can still access most of the features on our website even without accepting a cookie.

Information We Collect with Kimochi Meter App

We collect information to provide a cloud-based app and extension for any Google Workspace for Education user that has authenticated himself by logging into his Google account whether on a desktop machine or a Chromebook.

Some of these services such as Sync with Google Classroom, create the same classroom roster as Google Classroom to our apps by using the Google Classroom API and by using our apps, you agree to be bound by Google's Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy)


Our apps collect the following School-managed account information:

As an Admin User (Administrator or Principal):

We require you to sign up for our app's account to use the Admin screen. When you do so, we will ask for personal information, like your name, email address (Goole Workspace for Education account) , telephone number. The email address will be added to the our app's server.


As a Teacher User:

You will need to be signed up for a Google account to be able to use the Teacher screen. We require a Google account (email address) in order to add your registration to the system. Our Chrome extension will then be required to be added to your Chrome browser, either on a PC, Mac or Chromebook.

Teachers (and other Admin users) can export and view student entered data wth Kimochi meter apps through the authenticated Google Drive API access.


As a Student User:

In order to enable the Kimochi meter app, students must log in to the Kimochi meter server with their current Google account (email address).

We provide a single-sign on (SSO) experience for this authentication. The Kimochi meter Chrome Extension retrieves the current signed in Google account (email address) on the Google profile by the chrome.identity API and then uses the account to sign in to the filtering server automatically on behalf of the students.
